Chester Davis Scholarship Information

Two/Four-Year Traditional Programs

1. After completion of 2 semesters.
   - $100 for every year attended Newport Independent Schools
   - Minimum completion of 24 credit hours.
   - Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and enrolled in 3rd semester.
2. After completion of 3rd semester.
   - $500 flat payment
   - Minimum completion of additional 12 credit hours.
   - Maintained cumulative GPA of 2.0 and enrolled in 4th semester.

 

Other Technical Programs Based on Hours

1. After completion of 1/3 hours
   - $100 for every year attended Newport Independent Schools
   - Must have cumulative GPA of 2.0 or official letter from school/program director that student is considered passing, completed a minimum of 1/3 of program and anticipated to successfully complete the program/certificate.
2. After completion of 2/3 hours
   - $500 flat payment
   - Must have cumulative GPA of 2.0 or official letter from school/program director that student is considered passing, completed a minimum of 2/3 of program and anticipated to successfully complete the program/certificate.

 

Other programs not mentioned will be considered.
