Online Payments: Infinite Campus
Five Star Meals

Welcome to NIS Food and Nutrition Services!

Nutrition and Learning Go Hand in Hand

The Food and Nutrition Services Department is dedicated to student health, wellbeing and the ability to learn. Student learning is supported by promoting lifelong healthy nutrition habits.

Students enrolled in Newport Independent Schools are served breakfast and lunch at no charge through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). As a participant in the CEP, families are no longer required to complete a Free or Reduced Price Meal Application. Instead, they are required to complete a Household Income Form (HIF). The information on the HIF provides much needed additional funding to the school district. The Family Resource and Youth Service Centers are an example.

"Smart Snack" items may be purchased at each school on an a la carte basis. Checks and cash deposits are welcome at all schools daily. Online prepayments can be deposited through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Please note that a $2.00 service fee may apply.
