Newport Independent Schools will be holding a surplus sale on November 18th, 19th, and 20th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm each day. Sealed bids will be accepted until 3:00 pm on Nov. 20th at the Newport Welcome Center. You will be able to view the surplus items at 3 separate locations: Maintenance building by the football stadium, 1020 Lowell Street at Newport Bus Lot, and at the storage facility directly across from the bus lot. Individuals will be contacted confirming the sale on November 23rd. All purchases will have to be removed by December 4th or else the items will be disposed of by the district. In the case of tied bids, each of the parties will be contacted to submit another bid by phone to Kathi Baldwin. Items that are available include:
· a variety of kitchen utensils.
· A variety of furniture from library renovations: tables, chairs, bookcases, etc…. as well as other surplus furniture such as desks, etc…
· lights: 6 lamp high base T8 fluorescents
· Variety of books from NHS library and science books
· Exercise equipment
· Tables, chairs, desks, etc…
You can view the items on November 18th, 19th, and 20th from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the listed locations above. Any other times will have to be arranged through Kathi Baldwin at 859-292-3001.
All items will be sold as-is. We will provide you with any information we may have on a particular item but there are no guarantees or warranties. Once notified your bid is accepted on the item you will have until December 4th to remove the items. After that, any remaining items will be disposed of by the district.
