Students from Newport High School walked out of class for a short amount of time on Wednesday. The plan include a 17-minute walk-out, denoting one minute for each victim.
NIS administrators worked with students to coordinate the walk-out event while others left it up to students, like Kenton County, and others had no plans at all, like Boone County, according to reports.
