FBLA broke down into groups and each group researched 3 different non-profit organizations that they felt benefited the community of Newport. The students then had to send grant applications out to all the non-profit organizations and patiently wait for them to be returned. Once they were returned the students sorted through them and narrowed them down to their favorites. As a chapter, they then voted on Brighton Center and visited the Scholar House and learned about where the money was going to be used. It was awesome to see the kids get up on stage and talk about how this experience has impacted them, why they chose the Brighton Center, and then they presented the check to Lauren Copeland from the Brighton Center.
