I am a Kindergarten teacher at Newport Primary School.  I taught first grade at NPS for two years prior to moving to Kindergarten last year, where the foundations of learning really begin! I whole-heartedly enjoy teaching Kindergarten!  My passion is teaching reading & math and seeing my students' beautiful, smiling faces.  I promise to provide a safe, nurturing environment for each of my students to be successful and to feel loved as we go through the Kindergarten adventure together.  I strive to build life long relationships in which my students and their parents will always remember and admire. It's my responsibility to teach my students to be respecful, to always do their best and to truly understand the importance of education.

I always look forward to growing and learning throughout the school year with my class.  I am here to support each of my students as we journey through this important stage in their life together and prepare them for the journeys ahead.

A Little About Me:

I am 29 years old and I graduated from Northern Kentucky University with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education in 2011.  I am currently working towards a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I have two beautiful daughters truly strengthen my commitment, dedication, loyalty and passion for educating young minds.  Their love of learning is one that I hope to place in the hearts of all my students- past, present and future.  My youngest daughter is a preschooler at NPS and my oldest daughter is a 3rd grader at NIS.  We adore Newport Schools!

My heart is in Primary education and I truly believe this is what I am supposed to do and where I'm supposed to be!  I can honestly say I Love Teaching, especially at NPS!  I AM PROUD TO BE A WILDCAT!
